Words have the potential to break hearts, shatter confidence, and destroy relationships. Words are sharp and painful; they will set the world on fire if allowed. Scripture tells us our tounges can defile our entire body because our language reflects God's character. When we become angry, hurt, or need to administer spiritual discipline, we will speak kindly to one another and continue to love each other as God loves us.
Prayer: Dear God, we are a reflection of Your love in our words and actions. Teach us to use kind, merciful words when speaking to each other. In Jesus' name, Amen.
