So sorry I was absent and disconnected last week.
I lead a model train team, Daughters of the American Revolution, and we showed our group train Diarama at a Christmas show last week: First 13 Colonies 1776. Proceeds from donations helped the children with sight issues under the Lions Club wings.
It was a huge success and well loved by visitors, 830+ of them. I would love to do a set with KT friends soon. but it did consume time and energy.

For the next 30 days, I’m sharing from my heart — God’s order, my gratitude, and how He’s restoring balance in this new chapter of faith, family, and purpose.
If you’ve ever felt stretched thin or out of alignment, I hope you’ll walk this month with me. 💛

🕊️ Day 1: Thankful for God’s Presence
When life gets loud, His peace whispers still.
This morning, I sat quietly and remembered how many storms He’s carried me through — some public, some private, all purposed.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
I’m thankful that no matter what season I’ve been in — motherhood, heartbreak, or rebuilding — He’s never left my side.
Who has read Mark Twain's Joan of Arc? Thoughts on it? Mark Twain is probably my favorite fiction author. I write fiction, but I don't typically read it. But a Twain piece I will read. Thanks for your input ahead.

Several scriptures emphasize the importance of preparing one's heart for various spiritual purposes. Psalm 10 states that the Lord hears the desires of the humble and prepares their hearts, highlighting God's active role in this process.
This preparation involves humbling oneself before God, confessing one's need for Him, and desiring to do His will.
The Apostle Peter urges believers to "prepare your hearts and minds for action" and to fix their hope on the grace to come with Christ's revelation.
For worship, the people of Israel were instructed to prepare before coming near to God, underscoring the need for readiness before encountering the divine.
To prepare for new things God is doing, scriptures like Proverbs 3 encourage trusting God with all one's heart and submitting to Him, while Isaiah 43 calls for forgetting the past and perceiving the new things God is making.
Preparing the heart also involves setting it on things above, as Paul instructs in Colossians 3, where believers are to focus on heavenly matters where Christ is seated at God's right hand.
