🔥 HELL, JUDGMENT, AND THE FINAL STATE 🔥
There are many things people joke about.
Hell should not be one of them.
Scripture does not treat hell as metaphor. It treats it as reality.
“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
— Hebrews 9:27 KJV
Death is certain. Judgment follows. There is no second earthly life. No return. No reset.

The Present Condition of the Lost
When an unbeliever dies today, he does not cease to exist.
“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments…”
— Luke 16:23 KJV
Conscious. Aware. In torment.
And there is a “great gulf fixed” (Luke 16:26).
No crossing. No relief. No exit.
Hell (hades) is real — but it is not the final state.
The Final Judgment
Revelation 20 reveals that “death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them.” The lost are resurrected. They stand before the Great White Throne. Then comes the final sentence:
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
— Revelation 20:15 KJV
Hell gives up its dead.
The lake of fire is final.
“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever…”
— Revelation 14:11 KJV
Forever is not symbolic.
Forever does not end.
Why Such Judgment?
Because God is holy.
“For all have sinned…” — Romans 3:23 KJV
“The wages of sin is death.” — Romans 6:23 KJV
Sin earns judgment. Justice demands payment.
But here is where the message changes.
✝️ THE GOSPEL — THE ONLY ESCAPE
The Bible does not merely warn. It provides rescue.
1 Corinthians 15:1–4 KJV declares the gospel clearly:
Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.
He was buried.
He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
Christ died for our sins.
He took the penalty.
He bore the judgment hell requires.
Salvation is not earned.
It is received by believing that finished work.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
— Acts 16:31 KJV
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life…”
— John 3:36 KJV
Hell is real.
Judgment is certain.
The lake of fire is eternal.
But eternal life is a present possession for those who believe.
Now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Eternity will not be rewritten.
It will be entered.
