ISAIAH 17: THE BURDEN OF DAMASCUS

Isaiah 17:1 opens with “The burden of Damascus.” The Hebrew word is מַשָּׂא (massa), an oracle of judgment, a heavy pronouncement. It’s a divine warning aimed at a real place.
