1. The Antichrist makes war against the saints
This is the verse that seals it.
Daniel 7:21 (ESV)
> “As I looked, this horn made war with the saints and prevailed over them.”
You cannot make war with people who are not there.
---
2. This war lasts until Jesus returns
Daniel tells us when it stops.
Daniel 7:22 (ESV)
> “until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given for the saints…”
The saints are being oppressed right up until Christ comes.

3. Revelation says the same thing — very plainly
John repeats Daniel.
Revelation 13:7 (ESV)
> “Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them.”
Again — saints are present.
---
4. The saints are identified as believers
Scripture defines who these saints are.
Revelation 14:12 (ESV)
> “Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.”
These are not “leftover people.” These are Christians.
---
5. Jesus said His people would still be here
Jesus never promised removal — He promised endurance.
Matthew 24:9 (ESV)
> “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.”
Matthew 24:13 (ESV)
> “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
You don’t endure something you’re not present for.
---
6. The resurrection happens after the tribulation
This was the final connection.
Matthew 24:29–31 (ESV)
> “Immediately after the tribulation of those days… he will gather his elect.”
Paul agrees:
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (ESV)
> “The Lord himself will descend… and the dead in Christ will rise first.”
Same event. Same timing. Same people.
