God used this man David in the most exstra ordinary way, because David believed he can do all things for he had God with him, David had put his faith at work, and have seen millions of miracles because he stepped out in faith and put it to work. David advanced the faith of Isreal to new heights and organized its entire system of worship. Through the character of David was very mixed, his effectiveness could be put down to one secret: his “ active “ faith. For faith without works is dead. James 2.7 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. Like David, many of God’s great servants have been strange characters. Jonah ran away from God, taking off in a direction directly opposite to the command of God. He was the only disobedient prophet in the Bible, yet he was the only prophet who ever brought a nation to repentance. Remember Samson was a hopeless character. The Bible is a record of God’s willingness to take up men and woman whom we would consider unworthy. The Apostles met a man casting out demons in Christ’s name and told him to stop. But Jesus said they should let him continue. Mark 9.38. This unknown man had found that faith in the name of Jesus Christ if put to “ work “ did wonderful things, and he is a witness to those miracles. So have some today who do appear to be great examplars of Christian spirituality. For that matter, neither were the disciples themselves. But long before they became the saints, we now seek to imitate, they had put their faith at work, casting out demons, preaching the good News the Gospel and healing the sick. Jesus Himself said this to you and me, it is a command Go! Go means get up, put your faith at work, Go! Preach the Gospel, heal the sick, not pray to the sick or keep them in your prayers, no take action go heal the sick, and remind them the Kingdom of God is near you. And become a first hand witness unto Christ working in you and through you.
