~ DO PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIANS RECOGNIZE THE JEWISH KING WHO IS COMING BACK?
Many celebrate the Jesus of Bethlehem—
few are prepared for the King of Zion.
They embrace the Lamb,

He is the Jewish Messiah, the Warrior-King, and Judge of all nations.

~ THE RETURN OF JESUS ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE
“The scepter shall not depart from Judah.” (Genesis 49:10)
His kingship remains rooted in Judah.
“The LORD will go out and fight against those nations.” (Zechariah 14:3)
His return brings divine warfare, not symbolism.
“His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives… and the Mount shall split.” (Zechariah 14:4)
A literal mountain, a literal city, a literal King.
“The LORD will be King over all the earth.” (Zechariah 14:9)
His reign is global and physical.
“They will look on Me whom they pierced.” (Zechariah 12:10)
Israel recognizes the Messiah they once rejected.
⸻
~ THE MESSIAH IN GLORY
“Who is this… with garments stained crimson?” (Isaiah 63:1–3)
He returns victorious from judgment.
“Every eye will see Him.” (Revelation 1:7)
His coming is visible to the entire world.
“To Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom.” (Daniel 7:14)
He receives authority over all nations.
“He shall rule them with a rod of iron.” (Psalm 2:9)
His rule is absolute and righteous.
“The Lord Jesus will kill the lawless one with the breath of His mouth.” (2 Thessalonians 2:8)
The Antichrist falls instantly.
“In righteousness He judges and makes war.” (Revelation 19:11)
He returns as the One who ends rebellion.
⸻
~ ISRAEL AT THE CENTER OF HIS RETURN
“I will gather all nations… and enter into judgment… for My people and My heritage Israel.” (Joel 3:2)
The nations face judgment because of Israel.
“I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem.” (Joel 3:1)
The modern return is part of His plan.
“Out of Zion shall go forth the law.” (Isaiah 2:3)
Jerusalem becomes the seat of world authority.
“They shall dwell in the land I gave to Jacob… forever.” (Ezekiel 37:25)
The land promise is permanent.
“If the fixed order departs… then shall Israel cease.” (Jeremiah 31:36)
Israel’s destiny is bound to the heavens.
⸻
~ WHAT PROGRESSIVE THEOLOGY AVOIDS
They erase wrath—yet His return centers on it.
They minimize judgment—yet He comes to separate sheep from goats.
They dissolve Israel—yet God calls her covenant eternal.
They soften kingship—yet He rules with iron.
They make His return symbolic—yet mountains split and nations fall.
They remake Him in Western imagery—yet He returns as the Jewish Son of David.
⸻
~ THE ROAR OF HIS APPEARING
“The LORD shall roar from Zion.” (Joel 3:16)
His voice shakes the world.
“The mountains melt like wax.” (Psalm 97:5)
Creation yields before Him.
“Then shall the LORD go forth.” (Zechariah 14:3)
The moment He rises, history bends.
“His eyes were like a flame of fire.” (Revelation 19:12)
Nothing is hidden from His gaze.
“The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.” (Isaiah 40:5)
His arrival illuminates all people at once.
⸻
~ TRUSTED VOICES
“The world will see the Lamb no more. They will see the Lion of Judah.” — Spurgeon
“The Second Coming is blazing, undeniable glory.” — Hindson
“The First Coming was payment; the Second Coming is collection.” — Missler
⸻
~ THE FINAL MOMENT
The heavens split apart.
The armies of heaven descend.
The Mount of Olives cracks under His feet.
Jerusalem beholds her King.
Israel recognizes her Messiah.
The nations tremble.
The Antichrist falls.
Every false Jesus evaporates in the brightness of His appearing.
The throne of David rises.
The Kingdom begins.
When the Jewish King returns in fire and glory—
will you meet Him as Redeemer…
or as Judge? ❖
