Isaiah 2:22~ Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
God will bring the proud down to earth. He has set aside a certain day to do this. But until that day dawns, God's Kingdom people must live knowing that even the apparently powerful but ungodly will be brought to ruin. We shouldn't put our faith in human power, because it can disappear like dew in the sun. Death limits the power of humans. When a tyrant's breath is gone, so is his power. After the life of an evil person has ended, all that remains is the evil. Our faith must be placed in Yahweh Sabaoth, the Lord God of the armies of heaven. In contrast, everything else is just a small, blurry representation of the real thing.
Prayer: Abba Father, please forgive me for the times I relied on my own smarts, wits, and wisdom to get through life. Please forgive me for not trusting in Your deliverance and for relying on sneaky methods and bad people. Please wash me clean and give me a pure heart and a strong desire for You. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
