Psalm 146:1-2~ Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
"Hallelujah!" A hallelujah Psalm, this one! "Hallelujah" is translated as "Praise the LORD" in our version. I adore this psalm because it expresses praise for my soul, my whole life, and as long as I live. That covers a lot of ground. As long as we are alive, our lives should be a "holy praise" to the LORD! How is your praise, then? Having only done so in church? Maybe it's time to sing a few hallelujahs for the rest of your life.
Prayer: I thank you, Lord God of Israel and God of the Covenant, for your magnificent work in sending Jesus Christ to save all peoples through Israel. My soul hails you for your enduring presence via the Holy Spirit, while my heart celebrates you for your pleasure and consolation and my brain praises you for all of your marvelous creation. You alone are God, so please hear my life, my heart, and my voice as they all praise you! In the name of the Messiah Jesus, I pray. Amen.
