God is both our defender and our supporter. He is present even when it feels like our world is collapsing around us. He will either deliver us through or from death. He will either deliver us from evil or help us triumph over it. Our responsibility is to have faith that, despite our earthquakes and tides, we are not left in the dark or abandoned.
Prayer: Heavenly God, I petition God for those today who are in life's tremors. You are aware of the people I am worried about. You are aware that I am concerned about their difficulties, which are too great for me to lessen and too upsetting for me to fully soothe. Now, please bless them, be with them, and deliver them as soon as possible. You are our only real expect and Jesus is our only firmly believed redeemer. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
