I was very surprised today when i became the newest member of the Volusia County Overdose Fatality Review Team. This is a collaboration between the medical examiners office, Law Enforcement, various Social service, addiction and recovery agencies.

Our community hands out Narcan and sometimes one of the users acts as an overwatch. And even off duty I carry two or three doses with me. That’s my strategy at least. I wish you well and I hope you can find ways to reduce or even eliminate the overdose deaths. It’s horrible stuff.
