It shouldnβt take a life-threatening accident for us to embrace the simple attitude of joyful thanksgiving. The Puritan Thomas Watson wrote, βOur thanks are due for little blessings as well as for great. The hand of God is to be acknowledged in the smallest gift.β Hannah Whitall Smith wrote, βThe little things of life, though small in themselves, are often of the greatest importance in revealing Godβs love.β
The consolations of God are not too small for us! We donβt know when Christ will return, and we have no guarantee of tomorrow. Because of this, we should view each day as special, precious, and sacred. Take time today to thank God for today and for todayβs blessings!
