Sir John Scivoletti

We are living in a time where truth is no longer rejected loudly — it is replaced quietly.
People still want sermons. They still want church. They still want Scripture language.
But what they don’t want is the Word of God as it is written.
The Bible warned us this would happen. Not outside the church — inside it. ⚠️
ITCHING EARS VS. GOD’S TRUTH
Scripture draws a sharp line between two kinds of messages:
One that pleases people
And one that pleases God
They do not travel the same path.

ITCHING EARS VS. GOD’S TRUTH
Scripture draws a sharp line between two kinds of messages:
One that pleases people
And one that pleases God
They do not travel the same path.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”
— 2 Timothy 4:3–4 (KJV)
“Itching ears” are not ignorant ears — they are selective ears.
They listen only to what confirms feelings, traditions, or comfort.
Truth, on the other hand, confronts, corrects, and cuts — even when it costs followers.
WHO ARE WE TRYING TO PLEASE?
Paul made this unmistakably clear:
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
— Galatians 1:10 (KJV)
The issue is not sincerity.
The issue is authority.
Truth is not decided by popularity, tradition, or majority vote.
Truth is decided by God’s Word alone.
WHAT DEFINES TRUTH?
Jesus Himself answered that question:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
— John 17:17 (KJV)
Not opinions.
Not culture.
Not church customs.
The Word of God does not adjust itself to the times — the times are judged by the Word.
A SOBERING REALITY
The image shows many choosing what feels good — and few standing where the Word is opened plainly.
That’s not accidental.
That’s prophetic.
Truth has never been popular.
But it has always been powerful. 🔥
THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION
This isn’t about winning arguments.
It’s about where you stand when truth costs you something.
Are you following:
• what pleases the crowd
• or what honors God
Truth may not be crowded —
but it is never empty.
