As a Christian Grand Priory, we singularly worship and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost, as professed by our Lord and preached by His Apostles. We, therefore, restrict entry into the Order to baptized Christians, eighteen years of age or older, except that the sixteen-year-old or sons and daughters of Dames and Knights may also be granted full membership. We cannot hold any deities of other religions as equal to our Lord, nor grant membership in the Grand Priory to those who do.
This article is clearly and accurately based on Scripture. As proof, let me provide guidance logically and progressively through Scripture passages that prove the Christian stance of the Knights Templar as correct.
As the cornerstone for our Christian beliefs, first and foremost, we hold true that The Lord is God; there is no other besides Him, Deuteronomy 4:35. In chapter 6, verse 4, Deuteronomy continues to say, “…The Lord your God is one Lord.”
In 2 Samuel 7:22, the Bible states that “there is none like Him, neither is there any god beside Him.”
1 Kings continues in 8:60, “That all the people of the earth may know that the Lord is God, and there is none else.”
In Isaiah 45:21, the book of Messianic prophecy, it states that, “There is no other god besides Me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is no one besides Me.”
Additionally, we hold the Bible as the perfect, faultless Word of God given to us through His fallible creation, penned for eternity until He returns. Praise His Holy Name!
John 1:1 states, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 continues that, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that men of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. For me, these verses speak directly to us Knights. These words give us motivation and direction, guidance and strength.
As we proceed logically through the proof of Article II…
Colossians 1:17-20 describes Christ as the Head of the Church.
Ephesians 2:8 states that we are saved by the grace of God through faith.
Famously, John 3:16 tells us the steps that we must follow and confess our sin to become Christians (our designation as His named followers was unveiled in Acts 11:26)… Disciples of Christ.
Romans 5:1-2 affirms that we Christians are justified and declared righteous by God through faith in His Holy Son Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:19-22 describes us Christians as fellow citizens with the Saints and members of the household of God.
In 1 Peter 2:4-5, God describes us Believers as the living stones in His new temple.
As Christians who have experienced the grace and forgiveness, love and supreme sacrifice of God Himself, Galatians 5:22-25 describes the fruit of The Holy Spirit… love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
We as Knights Templar have committed ourselves to a higher level of commitment and direction in accordance with the precepts and directives of the Word of God.
These Articles are giving me time to read, reflect and comment on our foundations as Knights Templar.
Thank you for listening.

It never hurts any of us regardless of rank to be reminded of these principles in which our Order is founded on. I believe it to be very worthwhile endeavor that not only gives substance to new members ,but allows older ones to reflect ,and review as well. I would encourage you to continue with this type of forward thinking. I commend you on such an intelligent approach. Nice job Brother.
